In her off time you may see her exploring trails, lakes and mountains with her family and their faithful dog Milly.
Britt Jonat RMT
Britt has been an RMT since 2011, graduating from the 3000 hour program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. She chose to become an RMT after playing soccer competitively in her youth landed her in the offices of healthcare practitioners, giving her firsthand knowledge of the important role manual therapy plays in preventing and recovering from injury.
Upon graduating Britt began working in Squamish, B.C. in private practice and with the Canadian National Ski Cross team. While she has worked with a wide variety of clients her focus has been in sports massage, deep tissue massage, myofascial release and sports injuries.
Britt has personal experience in ultra running, completing both 50 and 80km races and in fitness competitions at a provincial level. She currently trains and competes in powerlifting and when not in the gym can be found enjoying the trails by bike or on foot.
Bree recently returned to Salmon Arm after having practiced massage therapy in Victoria for the last 8 years. She has a holistic approach and recognizes the importance of an individualized treatment plan to address her client’s wellness.
She has worked with a range of clients including seniors, ICBC claimants, Olympic athletes and weekend warriors. Her practice includes sports injuries, pregnancy, repetitive strain injuries, relaxation, stress and pain management, arthritis, headaches, sciatica, and many others.
Her treatments and techniques focus on assessment, deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, joint mobilization, myofascial release, and therapeutic exercise. Bree draws on her experiences in Pilates instructor training and fitness training courses to help clients with exercises and ergonomics in their daily lives. She believes in a collaborative approach that empowers clients to reach their health goals.
Bree likes being active, doing yoga, and often participates in running races of all distances. She and her husband Raegan are happy to be back in Salmon Arm where they both grew up and are enjoying the Shuswap with their two young children.
